Find a stem that is woody at the base, has fresh and soft green growth at the top, and no flowers. Take a cutting of about 4 to 6 inches in length just below a leaf node. Strip the leaves off the lower third of the cutting so that only a few leaves remain at the top. Original to New Zealand, hebe shrubs can thrive in U.S. growing zones 7 through 11, doing best in locales with warm summers and mild winters.

I want a salon where we can do hair and work hard, but I don’t want to be like every salon on the block. For example, capes in salons are typically black but ours are green, our logo is a fun pink color and the music is different too. I want people to have fun and be able to laugh and talk to each other. I’m just trying to make things as different as I can but still fit within what we do in a salon. Owners Gabriel Walton, Aleeta Hinton and Chrissy Smith brought a fresh new salon to the city, taking inspiration from the famous Gucci Garden in Florence, Italy. The salon showcases beautiful mismatched decorative wallpapers, quirky decorations and bright green and pink colors throughout the salon, bringing a vibrant energy to the city.
Giver of youth
This inclusive model ensures that no matter where you are, you can enjoy a familiar, comforting environment, much like members of Soho House enjoy familiar comforts across global locations. Hebe (pronounced HEE-bee) is a large genus of evergreen shrubs from New Zealand. Dome-shaped, it boasts bold flower spikes in white, purple, and pink from summer to fall. Even without flowers, this multi-season plant, hardy in Zones 7-11, colors the landscape with evergreen foliage in green, whitish green, silver, or green tinged with cream or copper, depending on the species and cultivar. In 2004, the company launched three (in Austin, Corpus Christi, and Waco) H-E-B Plus! Stores with an expanded focus on nonfood categories, such as entertainment and other general merchandise.

I see other hairstylists who refuse to change their ways and they tend to tap out. I have always loved working in Downtown Bellevue and I enjoy how different each part of Bellevue feels. Although Obadiah Salon and House of Hebe are only a couple of blocks away, the vibe in the main downtown area compared to Old Bellevue is different.
It stands out from other play spaces by providing a consistent, upscale experience that enriches the children and adults in their lives. The Bunny Hive is not just the Soho House for kids—it's a new paradigm for family-oriented social spaces where every visit enriches, soothes, and connects. Unlike traditional play spaces that focus solely on fun and games, The Bunny Hive integrates the sophistication and style reminiscent of Soho House, transforming how we think about environments designed for children and their caregivers. This is not just another daycare; it's a community-centric hub where families gather, forging connections amidst beautifully designed spaces that echo the luxury and comfort of the best adult clubs. Hebe requires well-drained, sandy soil with a pH between 7.0 and 8.5.
Don’t worry about water
In art, Hebe is usually depicted wearing a sleeveless dress, typically she was depicted with either one or both her parents, at her wedding ceremony, or with Aphrodite.
How to Grow Hebe Shrubs
It’s exciting to see fashion shows and see what hairstyles people are into at the moment. My new thing is traveling and being able to see what’s trending around the world compared to the United States, specifically in Bellevue. I feel like we can never learn everything, but I can always be better.
Tall types also lend themselves to be grown as an evergreen hedge. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, cooking, frequenting the Bellevue Downtown Park with her family and searching for the perfect chocolate treat. Since opening, House of Hebe has been busy working with regular and new clients, mandating COVID-19 regulations and celebrating milestones. Walton is excited to revel in the progress they’ve made but he admits there’s still work that needs to be done.
Once hebe shrubs have finished flowering, it’s time to prune to ensure that next year’s blooms will come back robustly. Aside from that, the plants’ naturally full, appealing form shouldn’t require much trimming. If a bush starts to get spindly, cut back about one-third to encourage a denser, bushier quality. These vibrant, versatile bushes can bring color and beauty to your garden all year long.
Although relativelydrought-tolerant, this shrub requires about an inch of water a week in summer to maintain healthy, robust foliage and produce large, color-drenched blooms. Given the right growing conditions, low-maintenance hebe shrubs don’t need much in the way of fertilizer. However, adding organic matter (some combination of compost, green manure, leaf mold, and/or animal manure) or slow-release fertilizer in early spring may help foster growth and blooms. Pick an area that gets lots of light or at least partial sun.
